Rustic Look

The Taino people of Cuba utilized hot process soap making techniques to create their own natural soaps, drawing from the resources available in their environment. They would combine local plant oils and natural ingredients, heating the mixture to facilitate saponification. This method not only allowed them to produce effective cleansing products but also enabled them to incorporate unique scents and properties from native plants. The Taino's approach to soap making reflects their deep connection to nature and resourcefulness in using what was readily available.
